Day 6 - Singapore to Penang, Malaysia

Today we flew 1hr to Penang, Malaysia. We arrived just after midday and took a 1hr taxi to Batu Ferringhi and checked in to the Hard Rock Hotel. It has a nice big pool with kids slides and is on the beachfront. We were given a free upgrade to an ocean view room so that was cool! 😎

Tonight we walked along the beach at sunset to the Batu Ferringhi night market. We stopped at a little restaurant for a beer and for the kids to have dinner and then we wandered through the markets. Its mostly knock off designer handbags and watches etc. Charlie really wants to buy a Rolex but he has to brush up on his negotiating skills first 🤣
We came across a big food hawker centre and had some weird noodles for $3 and big beer for $6. The kids found crispy nutella pancakes for $1.50 so they were pretty happy about that!
We took a trishaw back to the hotel for $8 and even though it was a short ride I think that poor rider deserved every cent for pushing all four of us!
We arrived back at 10pm and crashed out in the sweet cool air conditioning 😅
